Educational philosophy:
Every child, no matter their gender, race, or background, deserves a good education in where they can achieve their full potential. My goal is to create a positive, safe, and nurturing learning environment for my students to advance in their academic performances. An atmosphere that fosters creativity and learning will help children develop intellectually, emotionally, and socially. Every child learns different, I will use my knowledge and skills to acquire well-rounded students.
The teaching methods I use in my classroom are:
· Personalized learning
· Blended Learning
· Visual Startegies
· Cooperative Learning
· Role plays and Simulations
The types of activities conducted in the classroom are very hands on. Your student will participate in daily activities like counting numbers, singing math songs, working in groups, and educational practice worksheets. As a kindergarten math teacher, my goal is to make lessons fun and for my students to achieve a full understanding of the learning material in a fun way.
Example: Let’s say today’s lesson is on learning to count the numbers 1 to 20. I would start by getting my students warmed up with a counting song, having them sing along. This will introduce them to the numbers in a fun way. Activities like flash cards, finger counting, counting with blocks, and even reading a counting book will also be incorporated throughout the lesson. My lesson would conclude with a counting worksheet in where students would work in groups to assure that every student received a good understanding of the lesson.
